This producer from The Netherlands lives in The Hague. In his younger years he listened to his father's piano playing and other classical music at home. This was probably the beginning for his fascination for music and perhaps also the beginning of the fundamentals for his composition style nowadays.

When he grew older he was soon interested in pop- and electronic music. Artists like Jean Michel Jarre caught his attention, but also acts like The K.L.F. and The Prodigy. It was the beginning of a new musical era (1989).

In 1993, after buying vinyl records and turntables, he arranged a live performance on a local stage and tried out his mixes. Around 1994 he bought an Amiga 1200 running a sequencer called "Octamed". For that time one of the first sample based programs. Even though it was only an 8-bit machine, he spend hours of recording and programming samples. With this equipment he made his first tracks.

Around 1996 the name D-Frax was born (his own abbreviation of the physical phenomenon diffraction) After playing in several clubs (including a gig in the club "X-Party", Hong Kong) he had a successful collaboration with "Lola Tantzt" (2000), a Dutch techno-act who combined music with the movie ''Lola Rennt''.

After a few years, D-Frax started to work together with several musicians. One of them was "Luftmeister", a musician with a history in synthesizer- and drum 'n' bass music. They worked together on the project "Luftmeister & D-Frax". Their tracks are released on the record label Helgoland records (2005). The remix of Luftmeister's track "Tonmineral" appeared on the Foem 17 cd. (2009, Germany).

This year will be fully scheduled with preparing new tracks for his first studio album, which will be released in 2011. You can buy singles and other tracks on iTunes.
